Haklı olarak kendisine Vedat Okyar arkadaşımın benden istediği bir yazı ile cevap vermiştim.Sanki benden başka cevap verecek kimse yokmuş gibi,bugün o yazının yayınlanmasından sonra geçen bir 3 yıl var.Bu üç yılda neler oldu,neler olmadı ki.Sayın Uluç yazısını söyle bitirmiş Kalkan, elden gidiyor..Esnafta bilinç yok..SORUMLULARDA GÖREV ANLAYIŞI.Bu onun düşüncesindeki İhanet..Saygı duyulur.Ama ben iddia ediyorum KALKANIMIZIN denizi hala temiz.Yazın sonuna yaklaştığımız bu zamanlarda bol bol denize girin,sağlığınızı kazanın.Kalkandaki teknelerin denize sintine boşalttığından bahsetmişti.(Onur isimli kişiden aldığı bir e-posta ile)Gelmeden görmeden.

Bu rögarlar DİLARA’NIN düştüğü kadar büyük, plastik olanlara gelince, yeni doğmuş bir bebek düşse Dilara’nın akıbeti gibi olmaz, bu sevindirici. Galiba Gebze de Fosseptiğe düşen bir çocuk, gene fosseptiğe düşen BATMAN’ IN Gercüş ilçesinde 7. sınıf öğrencisi Esra Kardeş, Adana’da Tayfun, İstanbul’da Dilara, açık gazete yayın yönetmeni Faruk beyin yaptığı haber çok enteresandı, bu çocuklar İngiltere’de yaşamış olsaydılar ölmeyeceklerdi. Almanya’da bir atasözü vardır “Betrunkene und kleine Kinder sagen die Wahrheit’’ Türkçesi: Sarhoşlar ve küçük çocuklar HAKİKATLERİ söylerler. Nasıl bir ülke olduk, anlaşılır gibi değil. Ben bu yazımı bir fıkra ile bitirmek istiyorum. Fıkranın ismi çocuktan al haberi. Çocuklar ölüyor artık haber almamız Allah’a kalmış. Bari siz kalın sağlıcakla.

Ortaokul öğrencisi, babasının omzuna dokunur, sorar:
Baba okulda ders verdiler,”Politika nedir”,anlatmamız lazım. Nedir politika?
Baba oğlunun yaşına uygun bir formül bulur: Bak yavrum, şimdi şu kelimeleri iyice aklında tut. Ben ücretli çalışıyorum, buna KAPİTALİZM diyoruz. Parayı nasıl harcayacağımıza annen karar veriyor, ona HÜKÜMET de. Hepimiz aslında senin için çabalıyoruz, sen HALK’ sın. Bebek kardeşine bakan kadın, İŞÇİ SINIFI. Kardeşini de gelecek diye düşün. Şimdi bunları iyi ezberle, yarın kahvaltıda sana politikayı daha iyi anlatırım. Oğlan bunları ezberler, akşam olur, herkes yatar. Gece bizim oğlan kardeşinin ağlamasına uyanır. Gider bebeğin odasına, bebek altını kirletmiş ağlamaktadır.
Annesinin odasına girer, annesi derin bir uyku çekmektedir, uyanmaz. Bebeğe bakan kadının odasına gider, bir bakar ki, babası ile kadın aynı yatakta,”Bebek ağlıyor” demesine hiç aldırış eden yok. Oğlan gider odasına tekrar yatar. Ertesi sabah kahvaltıda babasına,
“Baba ben politika neymiş anladım der. Babası” Neymiş söyle bakalım” diye sorunca anlatır.

AN UNDERSTANDING OF BETRAYAL
Writer and journalist Hıncal Uluç, included a letter in his column titled “Take a look at this betrayal…” 30.06.2002. As a person living in Kalkan, I was angry.
Naturally my friend Vedat Okyar asked me to write a reply, which I did. Three years have past by, as if there is nobody else to reply but me . The things that haven’t happened during these last three years. Mr Uluç finished his article with these words: we are losing Kalkan…There is no recognition amogst the tradesmen…or a sence of duty amongst those who are responsible. These are his thoughts on betrayal…One should respect that. However, I claim that Kalkan’s sea is stil clean. As we approach the end of the season, swim as much as you can, for your own health. The caique captains of Kalkan were also mentioned in the article for emptying their bilge (information based on an e-mail from a person named Onur). But with out coming, or seeing.
I happened to read writer and journalist Bekir Coşkun’s article, dated 4.09.2005, titeled BETRAYAL. He wanted to relate that environmentalists must find it difficult to live in a country where they are considered traitors. He continues. So that 3 – 5 rich westeners can play golf leading to the cutting of SORGUN FOREST, the search for gold with cyanide, nuclear plants, ruining the coast, excessive building in bays, in short anyone who stands against the destruction of nature and environment is considered a TRAITOR; A TERORIST, ‘THAT’ FRAME OF MIND AND AN ENEMY OF THE COUNTRY. Nature acts as its own judge, so that when the real betrayal shows up, what are poeple going to say then?
Have you ever seen people that betray the very place in which they live? Would someone who lives in Kalkan, betray it? So dear readers, BETRAYAL either this way or that, or do you have another opinion of betrayal? Are you not aware that there are things that are not going well in our Kalkan, this beautiful country’s paradise-like town, where there is still no sewage system, an ever growing problem, and in the near future the growing problem of electricity and water shortages. It will be too late tomorrow. Before the urn breaks we have to take precautions.

Dear readers. I found it appropriate to add this to the above text.
Upon the order of the Ministry, finally Kalkan’s centre will be connected to the sewerage plant built 8 years ago. In the connections from homes to the main streets, I am witnessing for the first time the use of such materials as are currently used in the side streets. 50/60 cm manhole acess points, 15/20 cm. plastic drain pipes, perhaps science advanced and we remained behind. When I say we, I refere to Prof. Dr. Derin Orhon( Dean of the Civil Engineering dept. at the Technical University of İstanbul) and me, because when I gave the description, he couldn’t help but exclaim “Alla Allah” showing his surprise.
The real reasons for my worries, are in front of the pumping station behind the coast guard building, where there is a main manhole and which has a second manhole built beside it, and the reasons for why there is a 40 cm.sized pipe and why a tap is put there from which the pipe leads, after a 20 day excavation with the stone breaking machine, to the sea: The contracted firm’s engineer, said that the Project belonged to the Bank of the Provinces. At least Kalkan has finally received a central sewerage system, so in the hope of a plentiful tourism season, good luck to all. The good news here is that these plastic manholes are not big enough even for a newly born baby to fall down, as the one in which 7- year old Dilara fell into. I think that in Gebze a child fell into a septic tank and again in Batman’s Gercüş township, 7th grade pupil Esra Kardeş, Tayfun in Adana, Dilara in İstanbul. Mr Faruk editor of Açik Gazete distrobuted on the internet wrote an interesting article claiming that if these children had lived in England, they would not have died. In Germany there is a proverb “Betrunkene und Kinder Sagen die warheit” in English: Drunks and Children Tell the Truth. What kind of a country we have become, it is impossible to understand. I want to finish this write up with a joke. The joke’s title is “get your news from children”. Since children are dying we are left to obtaining our news from God. At least you must try to keep healthy.

A secondary school pupil taps his father on the shoulder and asks:
Dad, they gave us homework at school, “explain politics” which we have to do. What is politics? The child’s father tries to find a way of explanation to suit his son’s age: Look, my son, try to keep these words in your mind. I receive payment for my work, that’s what we call Capitalism. Your mother decides how to spend the Money, you can call her the Government. We are all in one way or another, struggling for you, you represent the people. The person who looks after your baby brother, represents the working class. We can consider your baby brother as the Future. Now try to memorize these terms and tomorrow at breakfast I will try to explain a little bit more. The boy memorizes these, then in the late evening everyone goes to bed. That night the boy wakes up to the crying of his baby brother. He goes to the baby’s room and sees that the baby is crying because he is dirty.
He goes to his mother’s room but she is sleeping deeply and doesn’t wake up. He goes to the nanny’s room, but sees his father in her bed. “The baby is crying”, he calls out, but no-one is interested. He returns to his own room and goes back to sleep. The next morning he tells his father at breakfast “ Dad, I understand what politics means.” “Come on then tell me” says his father and he does.
“Capitalism screws the Working Class. In the meantime, the Government is sleeping. No-one worries about the People, and the Future is in shit…”
